Microsoft’s Co-Pilot is being Released on November 1st 2023 – What is it and how can it help you?
Microsoft Copilot is a set of artificial intelligence (AI) assistant features that will be available in Windows 11, Microsoft 365 applications and services (Like Word, Excel Outlook and PowerPoint), as well as Microsoft’s Web Brower Edge. Different Features will be available in the different platforms.
Copilot is designed to help users with a variety of tasks, including:
Writing & Editing Documents
Copilot can help users write and edit documents in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. It can provide suggestions for grammar, style, and tone, as well as help users to key points and action items.
Analysing Data
Copilot can help users write and edit documents in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. It can provide suggestions for grammar, style, and tone, as well as help users to key points and action items.
Scheduling and managing tasks
Copilot can help users to schedule and manage tasks in Outlook and Teams. It can also help users to prioritise tasks and track their progress.
Finding information
Copilot can help users to find information in Microsoft Search and other sources. It can also help users to understand and interpret information.
Here are some examples of how Copilot can be used:
- A user can ask Copilot to write a summary of a meeting transcript, and Copilot will generate a summary that includes the key points and action items from the meeting.
- A user can ask Copilot to help them to create a presentation, and Copilot will help them to choose a template, select the right content, and design the slides.
- A user can ask Copilot to help them to analyse a sales data set, and Copilot will identify trends, generate visualisations, and suggest ways to improve sales performance.
Copilot for Office 365 pricing has not been announced yet for Australia on Microsoft 365 Plans, but it is likely to be placed around $30 US a Month.
